The cabins are arranged in a squared C shape which leaves a nice open commons area in the middle. There are beautiful flowers and, if memory serves, some picnic tables as well but don't quote me on that one as I'm not 100% sure. It is a nice open area for kids to play or for couples or families to have a picnic so that's a nice added bonus.
Cute little place, I only stopped in for a few hours to rest my head and was really sad I didn't have the time to enjoy more of it. It's a small town, everything closes early, but the sweet old man stayed up waiting till I checked in. And when I left at 5 am he was there drinking his coffee wishing me good travels. Perfect way to start my trip.
This place is awesome! Our rooms looked recently remodeled. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and responsive to needs. It's such a quaint place. Better than any hotel we've stayed in on our trip.
There are also several restaurants in the area that deliver & it's not just pizza! Chinese and Italian restaurants deliver as well, except on Tuesdays. I found all Chinese and most Italian restaurants in town are closed on Tuesdays, which is the day I stayed, so just a heads-up. I will DEFINITELY stay at the Zoo Bar Motel again!
Extremely cozy cabins. Booked an internet deal near the end of September for a Queen Deluxe Cabin: $51.00 per night plus tax=$56.00 total. Check-in as early as 2:00 pm and, due to a migraine, the owners granted me a late check-out at no extra cost. The staff are very friendly; I believe it's family owned & operated. Cabins are very clean, cozy, & well built with a rustic feel, yet it has all the modern conveniences one could want.
This little treasure is heaven on earth. We love everything about it and will be back. Beautiful cabin, very clean and even had a visit from a deer. Love it!!
My cabin had a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, flatscreen T.V., AC & heating units, a very comfy bed, pillows that felt like my head was resting on a cloud, and a coffeepot that was brilliantly placed on the large nightstand so you don't have to get out of bed to make coffee! Now that's good thinking!
