The surroundings are just so serene and peaceful. The hosts here are very warm and welcoming. And the restaurant here has one of the best gourmet foods I have ever had. Can't wait to go back there for a longer time.
We stopped here on a tour and had a wonderful time. It is definitely out in the middle of nowhere, providing the peace and serenity of this oasis. We first had a wonderful buffet lunch for our large group and each food item was well cooked and delicious. After poor food and service for three days in Yellowstone, this was a very welcome experience. Next the kids painted horse shoes and learned how to rope cattle (bails of hay with bull head and horns). We went on a wagon ride and then a horse back ride.
We have eaten at the TA on 2 different occasions. Both times have been absolutely fantastic. Kristen and Phil were wonderful! The food and the service were top notch and the atmosphere is awesome! Phil is an amazing chef. The TA is a beautiful country ranch with a ton of history. I recommend everyone visit for dinner at the least if not a week long stay. Make sure you come early enough to do the tour!
My family stopped here on our cross country vacation. Great price, a lot of space, very welcoming owner and staff. Kirsten was very accommodating of us in the middle of the night on an off day. Breakfast with the Ranch hands is a nice taste of the Ranch experience. My one year old Grace had fun petting one of the horses, Flash who was very patient with her.
Kudos to the hosts and the chef !
The trail ride had me concerned because they require children under 11 years old or less than 75 pounds to only ride in the corral. I tried to get an exception since my daughter would turn 11 in 2 months and the rest of our family was going on the trail ride. She would not make an exception but told me the riding they do in the corral was often cited as much more fun anyway. She was so right. While we rode a single track trail in a large circle in open country, the kids got to self guide their horses through figure 8's like in the rodeo, play horse tag, and other fun games. So our 10 year old basically had a lot of activities on the horse, getting to control its movements at all times while out trail ride horses were only allowed to follow the horse in front of it on the trail. Many adults in our group kind of wished we got to the do the corral riding experience instead. :)
An amazing Ranch at an amazing location. We stayed here for a night as a break on our way to the Yellowstone National Park.
